Sex Work Scholarship

Sex work is work! And as with all work, further education and training help to develop professional skills. However, marginalized sex workers often lack the resources to take advantage of training opportunities. The BDSM Studio Lux now offers free and individual opportunities.

Since 2018, the BDSM Studio Lux has been running its own course centre. A variety of seminars and workshops are offered, aimed at both people with a private interest and at professional sex workers. As a BDSM studio, we want to support the sex work community. In doing so, we also want to reach out to those colleagues who previously did not have the resources to take advantage of our course centre’s offers.

For this reason, Studio Lux has launched a scholarship programme. This offers colleagues who have multiple marginalization the chance to further their education free of charge. We offer one to three-hour individual training programmes in a 1:1 situation. Those interested can choose the contents of the lessons themselves. The topics offered range from finance and marketing to techniques of specific fields of work (How do I work as a sub? What are the particularities of male sex work?) to the legal basics of sex work and much more. Each participant receives their own coach. The workshops can be attended in person or online.

The programme is financed by sponsor tickets, which can now be purchased from at Studio Lux. All proceeds go 100% towards the scholarships. Interested applicants and supporters willing to donate can contact Studio Lux directly.
