To celebrate the unforgettable year of kinky sketching, we ended 2024 with our biggest, longest, and kinkiest art event to date: the BDSM Life Drawing XXL edition, where BDSM stands for Badass art, Drinks, Sketch, and Mingle — and that’s exactly what we did!
On Friday, the 15th of December 2024 our beloved BDSM studio LUX opened every single one of its themed rooms for a one-of-a-kind, all-evening affair. It was a rare occasion when the guests could explore all five uniquely themed rooms, each transformed into its own kinky universe.
Twelve models presented five different themes: Cuckolding, Medical Role-Play, Wax Play, Rope Suspension, and Double Domme dynamics. Visitors were free to wander between rooms at their own pace, sketching, mingling, and enjoying drinks as they went. The result was a full evening of art, atmosphere, and community — with plenty of opportunities to capture all the scenes with intimate details on paper.
The XXL event also turned the studio into a temporary gallery space. Walls in the hallway were lined with sketches, paintings, and mixed media works created by our loyal participants throughout the year. From quick gesture drawings to elaborate compositions, the exhibition showcased the creativity sparked by monthly sessions. Adding another layer to the evening, a special selection of behind-the-scenes photos — the ones that are too hot for social media — offered a candid glimpse into the sessions that inspired many of the artworks on display.
Our monthly life drawing sessions have always been rooted in the idea that kink is not just play — it’s political. BDSM Life Drawing is a passion project created by a team of queer sex workers and we volunteer our time to keep the events affordable and accessible while paying the models fairly and keeping our studio alive. That’s why this XXL event also had a mission: supporting our marginalised colleagues as Germany debates the damaging “Nordic Model” that threatens our working conditions and spaces. In solidarity, we collected donations for Trans*sexworks — peer-to-peer network supporting trans, inter, and non-binary street-based sex workers. Thanks to your generosity and the support of Lady Velvet Steel, we raised 300€ during the night. Every euro helps provide essential supplies and safety during the coldest months.
The BDSM Life Drawing XXL edition wasn’t just a drawing event — it was a celebration of queer artistry, community, and everything that makes BDSM Life Drawing so special. Every third Thursday of the month, we’ll bring you another unforgettable night of sketching, kink, and connection. Each session will be dedicated to one of the five XXL themes – plus some of your all-time favourites and a few new surprises.
